Aiki group

Class Description

**All Levels Welcome**

We begin with Breathing exercsise, stretching, strength training (and our famous "tummy time"), Aiki-Taiso & Ugoki-Taiso (body movements and drills),and Ukemi/rolling practices. This is followed by single and/or multiple partner practices with interwoven instruction.

Our principle based practice includes, involves, and utilizes breathing exercises and relaxation, meditation, balance and integrity (physical and mental stability) and joining practices/drills.

Partnered practices involving temporary simulation of attacker(s) situations, for the purpose of learning/practicing how to resolve it with minimal violence to both parties; not becoming and/or making a victim.

Philosophical principles, lessons, and class discussions will be used to help illustrate important principles and conceptually explore the situation(s) and issues.

Physical, oral, and written tests will help demonstrate the students’ level and progress to the instructor, interested parties, and most importantly to (and for) the student.

Have a look through our gallery for a visual example of our practice.
